Detached house to restore T4, Coimbra, Tábua
What is it?
This sympathetic detached house consists of two floors. It was originally built of natural stone. As usual the storage rooms and the wine cellar are on the ground floor. The living room is on the first floor and consists of 4 small bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. The living space is about 90 m². Behind the house are a patio and various buildings that have now partly collapsed. The total built up area including the annexes is 225 m².
How are the amenities?
The house has its own water well but it is also possible to have it connected to the municipal water supply. The house is primitively habitable and does not meet current housing requirements but it is a nice starting point for an authentic home.
Is there an outside?
At the house is a plot of almost 1000 m², with the water well and various fruit and olive trees. There is a further 5,000 m² plot of land adjacent to it. Based on the current destination plan, this is building land, creating the possibility for (e.g.) building a spacious dwelling. Finally, a couple of kilometers away, we have two other plots of 1,460 m² and 1,020 m², suitable to grow the wood stock for the winter or anything else.
Where is it?
The house is just outside the village of Casal do Santo Espírito. It is easy to reach via a paved road. Less than a kilometer away is the village of Espariz which has a café. Tábua is 6 km away. Tábua is a small province town with the most important amenities, including restaurants, shops, supermarkets, post office, banks, doctors, schools, vocational education, swimming pool, library and a weekly market. The larger cities Coimbra and Viseu are about 50 km away.
