What is it?
This quinta is a small paradise in the valley of the rio Mondego. The quinta consists of a house, various outbuildings and beautiful fertile land. The house still has the charm of the past, but some features of it has been modernized.
The old stables and storage rooms on the ground floor have been refurbished to one space, and a bathroom was added. It has become a pleasant and authentic room, which can also be used as a studio. Next to this room is the still functioning winery.
On the first and second floor is the actual living space, consisting of a living room, a dining room, a bedroom and a bathroom. On the floor above are two more bedrooms, an office and a bathroom. The living area is approximately 200m².
Apart from the main house there are several outbuildings such as a barn, a greenhouse and animal enclosures (poultry, dogs). There is also an original bread oven and an alambique, there is a large roof with bbq and a concrete pool of 12 by 6m.
How about the facilities?
The house has been modernized in the past and has aluminum windows with double glazing and central heating (on diesel) throughout the house. The quinta has a lot of its own water, all year round and of good quality. There is also tap water.
Any outdoor space?
The corresponding ground covers about 1.5 ha of land. Many fruit and olive trees and grapes grow here. The current owners make more than 1500 liters of wine of their grapes. There is also a varied piece of forest with oaks and pines.
For people who want to be as self-sufficient as possible, this is a great opportunity as well in combination with B&B, this property becomes a special place. Because of the favorable location of the site in relation to the sun, the richness of water and the mature crops with a rich yield, the quinta could meet its own needs to a great extent. Less useful, but at least as important, is the beautiful view of the mountains of the Caramulo, and the presence of the river Mondego only a kilometer away from the quinta.
