What is it?
This restored corner house of three floors has a natural stone construction as base. The bottom two floors still have the traditional thick walls. On the ground floor is a large storage area and on the other side of the house a closed laundry room. On the first floor is a fitted kitchen, a living room with fireplace and a spacious toilet. The upper floor has two bedrooms and a bathroom. One of the bedrooms has a balcony with free views over the village and the mountains. The habitable area is 92m2. The house is in good condition.

The house is in the town of Barril do Alva. The accessibility is good via a paved road. Barril do Alva is a quiet village with a few cafes and a grocery store. About 1 km outside the village runs the river Alva where there is also a popular restaurant. The lovely village of Côja is about 3 km away. Côja is a lively village with a cozy authentic atmosphere. Most facilities are available on a small scale. There is also a river beach, a campsite and several restaurants. At a distance of about 18 km lies Arganil. This provincial town harbours all important facilities such as restaurants, shops, supermarkets, post office, banks, medical practice, schools, library and weekly market. The larger city of Coimbra is about 65 km away.
