What is it?
This imposing home was built in the mid-20th century by a wealthy family from the area. It is an unusually spacious home for that time and even today the spacious layout is striking. The house has a living area of 320 m², spread over two floors.
On the ground floor are a spacious hall, a very spacious living room with an original Italian marble fireplace and crystal chandelier, a dining room, a full working kitchen with pantry, two toilets (one newly fitted) and a bedroom. An internal staircase leads to the first floor with a spacious corridor with five bedrooms. One is en suite and has been newly fitted as well. Here is also a communal bathroom. On this floor a spacious covered veranda is facing south and west. Under the porch is a carport. Behind the house is a large barn (180 m²) that used to be the winery and a building that is registered as a chicken coop (10 m² registered but actually more).
What about the facilities?
The house is connected to the water supply, but also has an impressive private well. Electricity is also connected and there is a septic tank for the drain but connecting to mains sewage is as well an option. Internet is easily available via fiber optics or satellite.
Any outside space?
In front of and behind the house is an easy flat garden of approximately 2.000 m². The garden is largely walled and fenced. A number of fruit and ornamental trees grow in front of the house, such as a cherry, apple and camellia.
The 19th century architectural style gives the house an authentic and special atmosphere. The house is very suitable for people who want to live in a spacious home or are considering setting up a B&B, for example. The annex also has interesting possibilities such as a studio or workplace. The rural setting without being isolated is something that a lot of people are looking for.
